At Home in Casa Octavius

If your idea of holiday bliss is a 3 minute walk to the beach (via steps) - then Casa Octavius is the place for you.  Just strolling distance from the famous Smugglers Cove, you won’t need a towel if you’re going for a quick dip – pop back to the house to get dry!

With the emphasis on luxury and comfort, Casa Octavius has the relaxed charm and welcoming feel so often lacking in holiday villas.

Extensively equipped at all levels, guests will want for nothing, while enjoying complete relaxation.

Open plan living on the ground floor provides a spacious living room, with comfy seating for 8.  A full range of cable channels are available on the flat screen TV, including Sky Sports and Setanta Sports – so you can choose to keep in touch with the outside world if you wish, or perhaps snuggle down in front of a movie if that better suits your mood. If you are visiting when the evenings become a little cooler, a cosy timber fire will blaze easily in the typically Portugese hearth – ideal for toasting marshmallows!

An elegant dining area allows the whole party to gather around the table to share a meal, which may have been cooked on the gas barbecue located on the terrace just outside the dining room. Or which could have been prepared in the well equipped kitchen, where discerning cooks are amply catered for.

Even on a family holiday, everybody needs some time for themselves. Casa Octavius offers a number of options to those who want a little “me time”.

The tranquil study located on the first floor will provide a cool oasis for those who would like to read or rest, or simply enjoy the fabulous sea views. If your laptop goes on holiday, you’ll also be able to work or surf the net, as there’s wireless broadband in the study and indeed throughout the house.

The study is also a great spot to send the kids in the evening, if the adults would like a child-free zone downstairs.  There is a DVD player (complete with a selection of DVDs – lots for the little ones, and also some of general family interest), a stereo, and a variety of board games to keep the younger members of your party occupied.
